This article from the Atlantic Cities is a review of Jeff Speck’s new book Walkable City.

The ten techniques the title mentions seem common sense and most of them are applicable to Downtown Providence….my personal favorites are#1 Put Cars in Their Place “Traffic studies are bullshit” and 3. Get the parking right.  “Ample parking encourages driving that would not otherwise occur without it.”  (195 commission please take note)
